Job description

Rostering Coordinator

Make every shift count. Make every day matter.

At Kirinari, we're not just filling shifts. We're creating certainty for the people we support, empowering our frontline teams, and ensuring quality services continue to change lives across our communities.

We're looking for a Rostering Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves solving puzzles, and gets genuine satisfaction from knowing they've made a difference before they even leave for the day. If you've ever celebrated finding the perfect solution to a difficult problem, enjoy building strong relationships, and want to be part of a team that genuinely has each other's backs, keep reading.

What does success look like?

Success in this role isn't measured by sitting behind a screen all day.

It's walking out the door knowing your region is covered, your teams are supported, and the people we support can continue receiving the care they need.

It's hearing a cheer from across the office when someone finally fills that particularly tricky shift that has been open for days.

It's receiving a thank you from a support worker because you've worked with them to create a roster that genuinely works.

It's being trusted to take ownership of your region and having the autonomy to make decisions that deliver real outcomes.

Why you'll love it here

You're never doing it alone. While you'll have ownership of your region, you'll be surrounded by a team that genuinely supports one another.

This is the kind of environment where people check in, offer help when workloads spike, share ideas, and jump in when someone needs support.

We celebrate wins together and tackle challenges together.

Our team loves achieving great outcomes and bringing our best every day. There's healthy competition, plenty of banter, and a shared drive to solve problems quickly and effectively.

Everyone wants to succeed, but nobody succeeds at the expense of the team.

Plenty of support from day one. Whether you're experienced in rostering or bringing transferable skills from scheduling, administration, customer service or workforce coordination, we'll set you up for success.

You'll receive comprehensive training, ongoing coaching, and support from leaders and teammates who want to see you thrive. We're invested in your development and will give you the tools, confidence and knowledge to build a successful career with us.

Yes... the office is dog friendly

We're proud to be a dog-friendly workplace where wagging tails can be part of your workday and where the culture is as important as the work itself.

What you'll be doing
  • Managing and coordinating rosters for a dedicated region, ensuring SCHADS Award compliance
  • Building strong relationships with support workers and operational teams
  • Filling vacant shifts and responding to last-minute changes
  • Balancing workforce requirements while maintaining excellent service delivery
  • Solving roster challenges through creative thinking and proactive planning
  • Ensuring compliance, accuracy and attention to detail across workforce scheduling
  • Supporting frontline teams to deliver outstanding outcomes for the people we support
What you'll bring
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
  • The ability to stay calm, focused and solutions-driven when priorities shift
  • Confidence working with multiple systems and competing demands
  • A team-first mindset and a willingness to jump in and help others
  • A genuine passion for supporting people and making a difference
  • A current Australian Drivers Licence and smart phone are requirements of the role, as is the ability to hold or willingness to obtain a NDIS Workers Screening Check.
The impact you'll have

Behind every filled shift is a person receiving support, a support worker able to do meaningful work, and a team working together to create positive outcomes. As a Rostering Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in making that happen.

You'll finish many days with something that can't always be measured on a report:

A genuine sense of accomplishment, knowing you helped people get the support they needed and your team achieve something great together.

If you're looking for a role where every day is different, every win is celebrated, and every shift filled makes a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Applications close on 2nd October 2026.

Due to the high number of applicants, interviews may commence earlier.
