Job description

Workforce Officer - Recruitment Kirinari Community Services Lavington, NSW, AU

Help Build the Workforce That Changes Lives

Every day at Kirinari, our employees support people to live independently, achieve their goals, and participate fully in their communities.

About the Role

Behind every great support employee, team leader, specialist, or manager is someone who identified their potential and connected them with an opportunity to make a real difference. That someone could be you.

As a Kirinari Recruiter, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of our growing workforce. You'll partner with leaders across a large and diverse organisation to attract exceptional people who are driven by purpose and our values.

With over 2,700 employees delivering services across multiple States and Territories, you'll join a high-performing HR team where your expertise, ideas, and passion for finding great people will directly influence organisational success and community outcomes.

You'll act as a strategic talent partner, working closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, help shape recruitment strategies, identify high-quality candidates, improve hiring outcomes, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience.

A successful day in the office feels like genuinely changing people's lives for the better. A Manager who says "thank you for finding me the best person" or a candidate who says "thank you for giving me purpose" or a customer who flourishes because of the best support person is with them. These are the moments that float our boat.

What You'll Be Doing
Recruitment
  • Partner with leaders to understand workforce needs and shape recruitment strategies that support both immediate and future growth.
  • Conduct job briefings and workforce planning discussions to ensure we're attracting the right talent at the right time.
  • Develop targeted sourcing strategies for high-volume, specialist, and difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Proactively identify and engage talent through social media, talent pools, referrals, networking, and direct sourcing.
  • Screen, assess, and shortlist candidates using behavioural and values-based recruitment approaches that align with our culture and purpose.
  • Coordinate interviews, assessments, reference checks, and pre-employment requirements, ensuring a seamless recruitment experience.
  • Guide candidates and hiring managers through offers and onboarding, helping new employees begin their journey with confidence and excitement.
Stakeholder Partnership
  • Develop meaningful relationships with managers and operational leaders across the organisation.
  • Provide workforce insights, market intelligence, and recruitment expertise that support informed decision-making.
  • Coach and support hiring managers in contemporary recruitment practices and candidate engagement strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with leaders to identify workforce challenges and develop practical talent solutions.
  • Participate in workforce planning discussions and recruitment reviews that help shape the future of our teams.
Candidate Experience & Employer Branding
  • Share our story and promote the organisation as an employer of choice within the communities we serve.
  • Support creative attraction campaigns that showcase our culture, values, and career opportunities.
  • Represent the organisation at careers expos, community events, and networking opportunities.
  • Build and nurture talent pools that create future opportunities for both candidates and the organisation.
Recruitment Systems & Reporting
  • Manage recruitment activity through the online recruitment platform, ensuring a smooth and compliant hiring process.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and employment documentation.
  • Monitor recruitment performance metrics including time-to-fill, candidate quality, advertising effectiveness, and conversion rates.
  • Provide meaningful recruitment insights and workforce reports that support business decisions.
  • Continually identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, candidate experiences, and hiring outcomes.
The Impact You'll Have

At the end of the day, your success won't be measured simply by vacancies filled. It will be reflected in the quality of the people who join our organisation, the confidence of the leaders you support, and the positive difference our teams continue to make in the lives of the people and communities we serve.

Every great hire helps strengthen our workforce, enhance service delivery, and create opportunities for people to live their best lives. And that's what makes this role so important.

You're someone who builds relationships and collaborates.

You see what's possible beyond a resume and position description.

You're proactive, resilient, commercially aware, and passionate about connecting great people with meaningful careers.

Most importantly, you believe in looking after people.

Applications close on the 3rd October 2026.

Due to the high number of applicants, interviews may commence earlier.
