Job summary

Arcare Noosa Shire is seeking a part-time Staff Scheduler to ensure the Residence is appropriately staffed across Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 2.5 days per week, delivering quality care while maintaining a positive work environment.

You will manage rostering, coordinate shift changes, handle payroll-related tasks, and communicate scheduling updates clearly with the team, while partnering with management to align staffing with budget and resident needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience rostering across multiple teams.
  • Experience with workforce rostering and payroll administration.
  • Experience with scheduling software such as Humanforce or Time Target.
  • Adaptable, team-oriented, with good communication.

Responsibilities

  • Staff Scheduling: develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Managing Shift Changes: handle shift change requests and replacements as needed.
  • Payroll Administration: manage payroll-related data, timesheets, and attendance for payroll submission.
  • Communication: keep staff informed of schedules and updates.
  • Coordination with Management: align staffing with budget and resident needs.

About the Role

This is a 2.5 days per week role across Monday, Tuesday & Friday.

You play a pivotal role in ensuring that the Residence is appropriately staffed - at all times, to deliver quality care to residents while also maintaining a positive work environment. You will be an important member of the frontline team, responsible for effective rostering which is crucial in meeting the unique needs of our residents.

Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Staff Scheduling: Developing and maintaining staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and to meet the care requirements of residents. This involves coordinating the availability of different staff members, taking into account their qualifications, preferences, and contractual obligations.
  • Managing Shift Changes: Handling requests for shift changes, leave, or time off and finding suitable replacements when necessary to maintain staffing levels.
  • Payroll Administration: Manage payroll related administration, ensuring employee roster data, timesheets, leave requests and attendance records are accurate and promptly submitted to payroll.
  • Communication: Maintaining effective communication with staff members to inform them of their schedules, shift changes and any updates or important information related to their work.
  • Coordination with Management: Collaborating with the facility's management team to align staffing needs with budgetary constraints and optimize workforce management.
Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing rostering across multiple teams/departments.
  • Demonstrated experience in workforce rostering, scheduling, payroll administration or workforce coordination in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience using employee scheduling software such as Humanforce or Time Target.
  • Adaptable, passionate and willingness to learn.
  • Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
  • Friendly and effective communication abilities.
