Job summary

Only About Children Woori Yallock is seeking a confident, caring and organised Room Leader to guide learning, routines, safety and family communication. This fixed term role is based at our Woori Yallock campus and supports a safe, nurturing learning environment.

The role focuses on leading a responsive team, shaping daily rhythm, and building strong partnerships with families while aligning with the EYLF and NQF standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Experience leading a room or team.
• Knowledge of EYLF, NQF, child safety and inclusive practice.
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC) and clearance.

Responsibilities

• Shape the daily rhythm with calm routines and clear expectations.
• Lead programs aligned to children's interests and growth.
• Guide planning, documentation, reflection and daily practice.
• Oversee supervision, ratios, room routines and safety.
• Build partnerships with families and share the day with care.
• Contribute to QIP, audits and quality outcomes.

About our Woori Yallock campus

At Woori Yallock, my day feels calm, local and close to nature. I arrive in the Yarra Valley, near Woori Yallock Primary School, parks, buses and parking. The renovated campus feels warm and connected to the natural world around me.

I learn in four indoor spaces and play outside with a sandpit and outdoor dining space. I can visit local parks, walk to school for transitions and join Bush Kinder with a nature and culture focus. This is where I feel happy, safe and ready to grow, surrounded by community, open space and outdoor discovery.

About the role

I need a room where the grown‑ups work together.

As Room Leader, you will guide learning, routines, safety, family communication and educator support so children's days feel calm and connected.

What you'll bring

• A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or higher.
• Experience leading a room or team.
• Understanding of the EYLF, NQF, child safety and inclusive practice.
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Leadership, mentoring and communication skills.
• Confidence managing room priorities, families and quality expectations.
• A Working with Children Check and relevant clearance.
