About this role

Educational Leader - Glebe

When my educators keep wondering, I keep discovering.

They notice what I enjoy.

They follow my questions.

They make space for my culture, my ideas, my voice and my way of learning.

They see I am not just playing. I am thinking, testing, imagining, moving, feeling and growing.

At Only About Children Glebe, you can help guide that kind of practice.

We're looking for a reflective, inspiring and practice-focused Educational Leader.

About our Glebe campus

At Glebe, my day feels warm, interesting and full of character. I arrive at a beautifully renovated old building on Bridge Road, close to parks, cafés, buses and the creative Inner West around me. The building feels homely and special, with spaces that help me settle and feel known.

I learn in six indoor spaces and play outside with sandpits, gardens, a bike track and a vegetable patch. I can build, read, imagine, explore and practise school readiness. This is a place where I can feel safe, seen and ready for my next big step, with community life all around me.

You're The Difference

At OAC, they say You're The Difference.

I think that means you help my educators see me clearly. You help them ask better questions, listen to my ideas and keep learning, so I can keep growing.

About the role

I need educators who keep learning with me.

As Educational Leader, you will guide educational practice across the campus and coach educators, Room Leaders and teachers in curriculum, reflection and quality learning.

What you'll do

  • My learning feels deeper when you help educators listen to children's voices, cultures and interests.

  • My progress becomes clearer when you guide the assessment and planning cycle.

  • My ideas are noticed when you strengthen documentation, intentional teaching and reflection.

  • My family feels included when you connect family input, observations and curriculum decisions.

  • My rights and agency are protected when you champion children's participation.

  • My campus grows when you contribute to QIP, self-assessment and Assessment and Rating preparation.

  • My educators grow when you build their confidence through coaching and inquiry.

What you'll bring

  • Early Childhood Teaching qualification preferred, or Diploma or higher.

  • Experience leading a room or team.

  • Understanding of the EYLF, NQF, Child Safe Standards and inclusive practice.

  • Understanding of curriculum theory and educational leadership.

  • Confidence mentoring educators and leading reflection.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

  • A Working with Children Check and relevant clearance.

What we offer

  • OAC recognises the difference your educational leadership makes through above award pay, worker retention payment and recognition programs.

  • Education support, OAC learning networks and access to Education Specialists help you guide deeper practice.

  • Coaching, professional development and expert-led learning help you support educators as they notice, reflect and grow.

  • Your pathway can continue into broader leadership roles across campuses or support functions.

  • Education assistance, qualification support and paid study leave where eligible help your own learning continue.

  • Eligible team members can access childcare discounts, OAC Rewards, Wellbeing Days, TELUS Health EAP and wellbeing resources.

Child safety and inclusion

I need to feel safe before I can learn, play and grow.

At OAC, child safety comes first. There is zero tolerance for child abuse and harm. Everyone who joins the team must help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive place where children have a voice, feel safe, and are valued and respected.

You will need to complete all required working with children, background and compliance checks. OAC welcomes people from all backgrounds who share this commitment.
