Job summary

Only About Children Mona Vale is seeking a confident, caring Room Leader to guide learning, routines, safety and educator support in a Toddler room. You will shape the day, engage families and lead a team to create calm, connected experiences for children.

The Mona Vale campus sits in a purpose-built two-level early learning centre near the beach, offering leadership development, strong teamwork, and pathways to Director roles for dedicated staff.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or higher.
• Experience leading a room or team.
• Understanding of the EYLF, NQF, child safety and inclusive practice.
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Leadership, mentoring and communication skills.
• Confidence managing room priorities, families and quality expectations.
• Working with Children Check and relevant clearance.

Responsibilities

• Shape the daily rhythm with calm routines and clear expectations.
• Lead programs that follow children's interests and build new ideas.
• Guide planning, documentation, reflection and daily practice for educators.
• Maintain safety, supervision, ratios and child-safe practices.
• Build respectful partnerships and share the day with families.
• Contribute to QIP, audits, Responsible Person shifts and quality outcomes.

Our purpose-built, two-level early learning Campus is located in the heart of Mona Vale, nestled within a peaceful residential pocket just moments from Mona Vale Beach and Apex Park. The location offers families a calm and welcoming setting, well connected by public transport providing convenient access for both families and team members.

As Room Leader, you will guide learning, routines, safety, family communication and educator support so children's days feel calm and connected.
