Job summary

Only About Children Mona Vale is seeking a confident Room Leader to guide learning, routines, safety and family communication in a supportive team environment.

The role requires a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher, plus experience leading a room or team and knowledge of EYLF/NQF. You will maintain high safety standards and partner with families to ensure each child feels secure and engaged.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Experience leading a room or team.
• Solid understanding of EYLF and NQF; child safety and inclusion.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Active Working with Children Check and relevant clearance.

Responsibilities

• Shape the rhythm of the day with calm routines and clear expectations.
• Lead programs that follow children’s interests and stretch ideas.
• Support planning, documentation, reflection and daily practice with educators.
• Oversee supervision, ratios, room routines and child safe practices.
• Build respectful partnerships with families and share the day with care.
• Contribute to quality outcomes through QIP, audits and shifts.
