Job summary

APG Workforce is seeking a Road Worker to support Transport for NSW on the HW2 Concrete Slab Replacement Project around Gundagai, NSW. It is a hands-on role within an established road maintenance and construction team.

The successful candidate will work outdoors in varying conditions, with a 76 hours per fortnight schedule and a 9-day fortnight roster. The pay rate is $45.45 per hour plus super, and previous civil/construction experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in roadworks or civil construction is preferred.
• Must hold White Card and silica training.
• Current driver licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of manual tasks on roadwork sites.
• Use hand tools, power tools and machinery safely.
• Assist with concrete slab replacement and roadworks.
• Work individually and in a team under the Team Leader.
• Follow site safety procedures and TfNSW requirements.

APG Workforce is seeking a reliable and hardworking Road Worker to join Transport for NSW on the HW2 Concrete Slab Replacement Project, based around Gundagai.

This is a hands-on role working as part of an established road maintenance and construction team. Previous concrete experience is desirable; however, it is not essential for candidates with suitable civil, construction or labouring experience.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing a range of routine physical and manual tasks on roadwork sites
• Using hand tools, power tools and machinery safely and effectively
• Assisting with concrete slab replacement and associated roadworks
• Working individually and as part of a team under the direction of the Team Leader
• Following site safety procedures, work instructions and TfNSW requirements
• Assisting with general civil construction and maintenance activities
• Working outdoors in varying conditions

About You

We are looking for someone who is physically capable, safety focused and comfortable undertaking hands-on work in a civil construction environment.
Previous experience in roadworks, civil construction, concrete works or general labouring will be highly regarded.

• Silica Awareness Training – mandatory
• Traffic Control (TC) ticket, or willingness to obtain
