Job summary

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking reliable Labourers / Road Workers to join a major civil infrastructure team in Port Macquarie, NSW. This full-time role offers 38 hours per week, a Monday to Friday roster, overtime, and a 9-day fortnight with an ADO. Immediate start through to 19 December 2026 with competitive pay and 12% superannuation.

You will assist with road construction and maintenance, support trades, operate basic tools, and follow traffic and safety procedures in live traffic environments.

Qualifications

• Construction White Card required.
• WOF Ticket required.
• Current Driver Licence required.
• Previous construction or civil labouring experience preferred.

This assignment is available for an immediate start and is expected to continue through to 19 December 2026, subject to operational requirements.

About the Role

As a Labourer / Road Worker, you will perform a variety of physical and hands-on tasks assisting with road construction, maintenance, and infrastructure projects. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will support skilled tradespeople, plant operators, and truck drivers to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key responsibilities include:

• Road maintenance and construction activities
• General labouring duties on civil works sites
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Assisting plant operators, truck drivers, and trades personnel
• Loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials
• Site preparation and clean-up activities
• Following traffic management and safety procedures
• Working safely in and around live traffic environments

Mandatory Requirements

• Construction White Card
• Workers on Foot (WOF) Ticket
• Current Driver Licence
• Previous construction or civil labouring experience

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

• Implement Traffic Control Plans Ticket
• Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plans Ticket
• Current MR Truck Licence
• Plant operating competencies including:
  • Roller
  • Loader
  • Excavator
