Job summary

Broken Hill Base Hospital & Health Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a three-month contract, starting as soon as possible. Based in Broken Hill, NSW, this role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic acute care environment where your clinical skills and emergency expertise will make a real difference.

The position is remunerated at AUD53.93 to AUD78.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Emergency department experience with competent triage.
• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
• Solid resuscitation skills for high-pressure environments.
• Strong clinical communication and teamwork within a multidisciplinary team.

• Work in a busy emergency department delivering high-acuity patient care
• AUD53.93 to AUD78.50 per hour, three-month contract with flexibility to extend
• Contribute your triage, resuscitation, and Advanced Life Support expertise to a supportive clinical team

Preferred Requirements

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
• Demonstrated emergency department experience with proven competence in triage assessment
• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
• Solid resuscitation skills and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations
• Strong clinical communication and the capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
• Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated ongoing professional development in emergency nursing
• Additional certifications such as trauma nursing (TNCC) or emergency care qualifications are advantageous
