Job summary

Hervey Bay Hospital's Emergency Department in Queensland is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 4-week contract commencing ASAP. You will join a high-acuity ED team delivering urgent care to the local community in Hervey Bay.

In this fast-paced role, you’ll apply emergency nursing skills, perform clinical assessments and triage, maintain accurate EMR documentation, and collaborate with a dedicated clinical team to deliver best-practice care.

Qualifications

• Emergency department nursing experience.
• Active ALS certification and ability to triage high-volume presentations.
• AHPRA-registered RN with relevant post-graduate emergency training.

This is an urgent placement opportunity in a busy, high-acuity environment where you'll work alongside a dedicated clinical team delivering emergency care to the local community. Based in Hervey Bay, Queensland, this contract role offers the chance to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working in an emergency department setting
• Strong clinical assessment and triage skills in a high-volume environment
• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or equivalent
• Ability to prioritise and respond effectively to acute presentations
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Post-graduate qualification or experience in Emergency Nursing
• Additional emergency-focused certifications (e.g. TNCC, ENPC) are advantageous
