The Next Step is seeking an Executive Manager in Reward, Compensation and Advisory based in Melbourne. This role blends technical reward expertise with client advisory and leadership responsibilities.
You’ll lead remuneration projects for a diverse portfolio, consult to senior stakeholders, build trusted client relationships and translate complex data into practical commercial guidance. Experience in financial services reward is valued but not essential.
More than a traditional Reward role
We’re partnering with a specialist remuneration advisory business to appoint an Executive Manager into a broad, highly trusted senior role.
This is an opportunity for an experienced reward professional who enjoys consulting, building relationships and working across a diverse portfolio of clients.
You’ll work closely with business leaders to understand their needs, provide practical reward advice and build long-term trusted relationships. Importantly, you’ll also have the commercial confidence to spot opportunities, grow existing relationships and develop new opportunities.
Working closely with the Managing Director, you’ll combine technical reward expertise with client advisory, business development and broader leadership responsibilities.
You’ll bring strong experience across reward, remuneration or executive compensation, ideally gained within consulting, professional services or a sophisticated in-house environment.
Just as importantly, you’ll genuinely enjoy working with clients. You’ll be someone who can quickly build credibility, understand what a business needs and turn conversations into practical solutions and commercial opportunities.
Financial services reward experience would be highly regarded but not essential.
This unique role offers the chance to take your reward career beyond the purely technical. You’ll join a small, specialist and growing business where you can build strong client relationships, influence growth and have genuine visibility and autonomy.
