Job summary

Optus is seeking a Workforce Planning Analyst to optimise workforce performance across a national retail network. You will partner with Area Managers and the Centralised Scheduling team, turning data into actionable insights to improve scheduling and labour efficiency.

This role requires strong analytics, experience with Dayforce, and excellent stakeholder engagement to influence frontline leaders and drive cost optimisation across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in workforce planning, labour scheduling, workforce analytics, or a similar operational planning role.
• Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills and experience translating data into insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to influence frontline leaders.
• Experience with Workforce Management platforms such as Dayforce or similar, including rostering and payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Area Managers and Store Managers to optimise labour budgets, workforce performance, and scheduling outcomes across a national retail network.
• Analyse workforce data, forecast labour demand, and provide reporting and insights to support operational decisions and cost optimisation.
• Administer and optimise the Dayforce Workforce Management system, supporting rostering, time and attendance, payroll accuracy, and compliance.
• Work closely with scheduling, payroll, HR, finance, and retail stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and drive efficiency.
