Job summary

Ampol in Australia is seeking a Systems Analyst to bridge business needs and technology within the retail and merchandising domain. You will analyse, diagnose, and resolve complex applications and data issues.

Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors and technology teams to deliver actionable insights, drive continuous improvement, and support strategic initiatives. The role offers hybrid work and opportunities in learning and development.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Retail/Merchandising/Inventory application functionality (Blue Yonder or equivalent).
• Proven problem solving and decision-making abilities to address ICT requirements.
• Strong SQL skills with ability to analyse complex data.
• Clear communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support business decisions and troubleshoot data anomalies.
• Diagnose and resolve application issues, coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
• Engage with business users to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Assess requests, challenge assumptions, and uncover underlying needs to deliver value.
• Propose application and reporting improvements to enhance service levels and efficiency.
• Provide SME input to project teams across Process/Domain leadership.
