Job summary

Oscar Wylee is seeking a Store Manager for its Moonee Ponds Central Shopping Centre store to lead a team, oversee day-to-day operations and deliver outstanding customer care. You will partner with Optometrists and Optical Dispensers to blend eye care with styling, manage rosters and budgets, and drive performance through coaching and a people‑first approach.

No optical experience required; we’ll teach you everything about optical retail.

• Passion for delivering great customer experiences.
• Willing to learn optical retail specifics.

Job description

As Store Manager for Oscar Wylee in Moonee Ponds Central Shopping Centre, your role will be to lead and inspire your team to deliver remarkable results and oversee day-to-day store operations.

You will work closely with our Optometrists and Optical Dispensers to ensure customers receive a blend of professional eye care and eyewear styling advice. Leading your team, you will strive to uphold exceptional customer service and care to everyone who visits your store.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee store operations, compliance, and performance standards


• Support your team to reach performance goals through genuine customer care, not pushy sales tactics.


• Manage rosters, budgets, and labour efficiency


• Provide hands-on support in-store, assisting with sales, service, and patient care


• Partner with Optometrists to ensure every customer receives an exceptional experience

About You:

• Previous leadership experience in retail (title isn’t important - if you’ve coached people and driven results, we want to hear from you!)


• Experience supporting or contributing to rosters, labour planning, or store performance - we’ll help you grow your capability in these areas.


• A passion for delivering great customer experiences


• A keen interest in developing your skills in decision‑making, coaching, and team culture


• No optical experience required - we’ll teach you all there is to know about optical retail. Some of our best store leaders joined from outside the industry!

Earnings:

Upto 68k salary + Super + Bonus
