Job summary

Platypus Shoes in Adelaide is seeking a Store Manager to lead a passionate team at Rundle Mall. You will drive sales, coach staff, and deliver an exceptional customer experience on a high-profile retail floor.

Work closely with the Area Manager to identify growth opportunities, manage rosters, optimise stock, and uphold visual merchandising standards in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in a high-volume retail environment.
• Proactive leadership to drive sales and KPI achievement.
• Strong communication and team development skills.
• Ability to manage rosters and wage costs.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by hitting sales targets and KPIs.
• Lead and motivate the team to deliver strong sales and customer service.
• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly sales, celebrate wins and identify improvements.
• Manage rosters and wage costs aligned to company targets.
• Coach and develop team members with training and high morale.
• Oversee stock levels, store presentation and operational excellence.
• Ensure adherence to OH&S standards and legislation.

As the Store Manager at Platypus Shoes Rundle Mall, you'll lead a team of passionate casual team members alongside your Assistant Store Manager. Your primary mission is to drive sales and KPIs, coach and inspire your team, and deliver an outstanding customer experience. You'll work closely with your Area Manager to identify and act on opportunities for growth, all while operating in a high-profile retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the overall performance of your store by achieving sales targets, KPIs, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Lead and motivate your team to deliver outstanding results in sales and customer service.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales, celebrating wins and identifying areas for improvement.
• Manage rosters and wage costs in line with company targets and operational needs.
• Coach and develop team members, ensuring ongoing training, high morale, and strong succession planning.
• Oversee stock levels, store presentation, and operational excellence.
• Ensure adherence to OH&S standards and legislation.

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in a high-volume retail environment
• Strong leadership qualities with a results-focused and proactive mindset
• Excellent communication and team development skills
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales and manage store performance
• Experience with stock management, operations, and visual merchandising
