Job summary

Platypus Shoes Kingston, part of Accent Group, is seeking a Store Manager to lead a high‑performing team and drive sales in a busy retail environment. You’ll partner with the Area Manager to identify growth opportunities while ensuring exceptional customer experiences and compliant store operations.

You will coach staff, manage rosters, and maintain visual merchandising standards to maximise performance and profitability in a dynamic, customer‑facing role.

Qualifications

• Experience as Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in a high-volume retail environment.
• Strong leadership qualities with a results-focused mindset.
• Excellent communication and team development skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales and manage store performance.
• Experience with stock management, operations, and visual merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales, celebrating wins and identifying areas for improvement.
• Manage rosters and wage costs in line with company targets and operational needs.
• Coach and develop team members, ensuring ongoing training, high morale, and strong succession planning.
• Oversee stock levels, store presentation, and operational excellence.
• Ensure adherence to OH&S standards and legislation.

About The Role

As the Store Manager at Platypus Shoes Kingston, you'll lead a team of passionate casual team members alongside your Assistant Store Manager. Your primary mission is to drive sales and KPIs, coach and inspire your team, and deliver an outstanding customer experience. You'll work closely with your Area Manager to identify and act on opportunities for growth, all while operating in a high-profile retail environment.
