Job summary

Millennium Services Group is seeking a highly motivated Security Supervisor to manage one of our busy Retail and Shopping Centre sites in Chatswood, NSW. The role requires experience in site security, building management systems and fire control systems, with a focus on SOP compliance.

You will lead a team, oversee CCTV operations, and maintain strong client relationships on site. The position offers an Award-rate payroll with penalties at NSW standards and opportunities for growth within the

Qualifications

• Valid Security Licence is required.
• Basic First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• 2-3 years of Supervisor experience is required.
• Experience in a retail environment is highly regarded.
• Reliable transportation is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Security Officers on site.
• Oversee the control room and CCTV operations for the site.
• Manage client relationships and report to regional management.
• Assess, mitigate and respond to site risks and incidents.
• Respond to alarms and security events in a timely manner.
• Engage with persons of interest and de-escalate where required.
• Ensure workplace health and safety practices are followed.
• Input site data into client systems and SOPs.
• Recruit and train new security personnel.

The Role

Millennium is currently seeking a highly motivatedSecurity Supervisorto manage one of our busy Retail and Shopping Centre sites in Chatswood, NSW.

The role requires an experienced individual with excellent knowledge in site security, building management systems and fire control systems, and the application of standard operating procedures.

ROSTER

Monday to Wednesday, Saturday to Sunday: 0730-1800 (5 x a week: 10.5 hours/day)

Location: Chatswood, NSW

Level 5 Award rate + penalty rates, plus the highest Supervisor Allowance for 21+

Duties & Responsibilities include:

• Manage and lead a team of Security Officers/Personnel
• Overseeing the site-based control room and CCTV system
• Manage the client relationship on site and report up to regional manager
• Assess and mitigate risks on site
• Respond to calls for assistance and respond to alarm events
• Implement effective strategies for engaging with persons of interest
• Communicate effectively with all persons whilst on duty
• Use communication systems including portable two-way radios
• Provide advice, directions and display a willingness to assist all persons whilst on duty
• Promote and maintain workplace health and safety
• Input data on site/client systems, as required by site SOPs
• Recruit and train new employees

Key Selection Criteria:

• Valid Security Licence is a must
• Basic First Aid and CPR certification is required
• 2-3 years' Supervisor experience under your belt!
• Previous experience in a retail environment (highly regarded)
• Reliable transportation (preferred).
• Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• The ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage client relationships and stakeholders on site
• A proven track record of reliability and punctuality
• Driver's License
• Full Australian Working Rights
