Job summary

TJX Australia is seeking a Loss Prevention Associate based in the Northland/TK Maxx store to deter theft, protect stock and support store security measures. You will report to the Loss Prevention Manager and may travel to district NSW stores as required.

Ideal candidates have a current Security Industry Employee Licence, a valid driver’s licence, and at least 3 years of loss prevention experience with strong conflict resolution and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Current Security Industry Employee Licence is required.
• Driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Minimum 3 years Loss Prevention experience.
• Willingness to travel locally and work varied hours.
• Strong conflict-resolution and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deter theft and fraud by high-visibility customer service and deterrence.
• Ensure security systems (CCTV, alarms, tags, detachers, locks) are operational.
• Manage access to tethered items and cabinet stock.
• Manage alarm codes and respond to EAS gate activations.
• Respond to incidents and gather evidence (CCTV, incident details).
• Refer serious incidents to the Loss Prevention Manager.
• Identify non-compliance with the merchandise protections guide.
• Review EAS to CCTV reports and flag known thefts.
• Conduct random checks to test inventory accuracy and security processes.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and promote policy adherence.
