Job summary

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking experienced Retail Sales Assistants for a Campbell, ACT location. You will welcome visitors, assist them with finding meaningful products, and contribute to a positive customer experience in a busy retail environment.

Weekend shifts are common and you may work independently during unsupervised periods. A passion for Australian history and national institutions is highly desirable.

• Prioritise customer service while keeping on top of daily tasks and responsibilities.
• Work confidently and independently during unsupervised shifts, particularly on weekends.

HOBAN Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Retail Sales Assistants to join a welcoming and customer-focused retail team in Campbell, ACT.

About the Role As a Retail Sales Assistant, you’ll be one of the friendly faces welcoming visitors and helping them find meaningful products and keepsakes.

You’ll work across a busy retail environment where customer service, product knowledge and initiative are key. Weekend shifts are an important part of the role, and you’ll need to be comfortable working independently when required.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong POS, EFTPOS and cash-handling experience.
• The ability to remain calm, organised and task-focused in a busy environment.
• A professional presentation and a natural ability to build rapport with visitors.
• The confidence to work autonomously and use initiative when management is not on site.
• A flexible and reliable approach to work, including weekend availability.
• An interest in Australian history, military history or national institutions is highly desirable.
• An ability to quickly develop product and subject knowledge and communicate it naturally with customers.
