The University of Sydney invites applications for 2 x Assistant Development Manager – Retail & Place to join the University Infrastructure team on a 5-year fixed-term basis. Located at Camperdown Campus, these roles support planning, coordination and delivery across the property portfolio.

As part of the Retail & Place team, you will contribute through feasibility, planning, approvals, procurement, design and delivery, coordinating with project teams and stakeholders to translate strategic

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in property development across acquisition, planning and approvals, construction and sale; experience in retail and place is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a wide range of stakeholders.
Ability to deliver quality customer service and adapt to change.
Strong problem-solving, initiative, and prioritisation under busy periods.
Accurate, highly organised with planning, analysis and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

Support the planning and delivery of development projects across feasibility, planning, approvals, procurement, design and delivery phases.
Monitor project expenditure and assist with cost tracking and reporting.
Assist in preparing project reports, committee papers and briefing materials.
Coordinate communication between project teams, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
Undertake research, data collection and analysis to support project planning and decision-making.
Monitor market, planning and industry developments relevant to assigned projects.
