Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking two Assistant Development Managers to join the Property & Development team in University Infrastructure. You will work on a multi-site program delivering up to 2,000 new student beds.

It is the largest infrastructure program the University has undertaken, and you will join at the start, supporting projects from feasibility and planning through to approvals, procurement, design and delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in property development or major projects across at least one phase: feasibility, approvals, procurement, design or construction.
• Excellent organisation with the ability to manage competing deadlines
• Strong problem-solving and the ability to prioritise workload
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a wide range of stakeholders
• Commercial and financial literacy, including feasibilities, budgets and cost reporting
• Experience in student accommodation, build-to-rent or residential experience is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Support the coordination of consultants, contractors and stakeholders, and maintain project controls covering schedule, cost and risk
• Support procurement from EOI and tender documentation through to evaluation and appointment
• Assist with feasibility assessments, development budgets and business case inputs
• Undertake research, data collection and analysis to support project planning and decision-making
• Assist in preparing presentations, reports and recommendations
• Support planning and approvals processes, including coordination of development application documentation
• Uphold compliance with University governance, procurement, sustainability and WHS requirements.
