Job summary

Panetta Mercato Kirrawee is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead day-to-day store operations in Kirrawee, NSW. You will coordinate department leaders across Fresh Produce, Grocery, Deli and Office, ensuring high standards of service and stock management.

You will recruit, train and appraise staff, monitor stock and budgets, and implement purchasing and promotional strategies to enhance the customer experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma-level qualification or higher.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant retail management experience.

Located at South Village, Kirrawee, providing customers with a comprehensive fresh food and grocery shopping experience. The store comprises a number of departments, including Fresh Produce, Grocery and Deli, supported by a dedicated retail team. The business is committed to maintaining high standards of product quality, freshness, presentation and customer service while providing a welcoming and convenient shopping environment for the local community.

We are currently looking for an experienced Retail Manager to join our team.

As Retail Manager, the applicant works closely with the General Manager and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store and coordinating departmental team leaders across Fresh Produce, Grocery, Deli and Office operations.

Your key duties include:

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the retail store, including determining appropriate stock levels, product ranges and customer service standards.
• Managing inventory, monitoring stock movement and implementing FIFO procedures to maintain appropriate stock levels and minimise wastage.
• Liaising with suppliers and overseeing purchasing and ordering of products in accordance with customer demand, stock requirements and store operations.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of purchasing, pricing and promotional strategies and implementing approved initiatives within the store.
• Planning and implementing promotional activities, product displays and merchandising initiatives to support sales growth and enhance the customer experience.
• Overseeing customer service and sales activities, responding to customer enquiries, complaints and returns, and ensuring appropriate product advice and service are provided.
• Maintaining and monitoring stock records, sales information, financial records and operational reports using the store's POS, NATPOS and other reporting systems.
• Monitoring the store's financial performance, including P&L, and preparing and monitoring operational budgets and resource requirements.
• Recruiting and selecting staff, preparing staff rosters, allocating duties and supervising employee performance.
• Training, coaching and developing employees and providing ongoing feedback and guidance to maintain appropriate performance and service standards.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, occupational health and safety requirements, food safety and hygiene standards.
• Supervising departmental team leaders and coordinating Fresh Produce, Grocery, Deli and Office operations to ensure efficient overall store performance.

Skills/Experience Required:

• Relevant Diploma-level qualification or higher.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant retail management experience.
• Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, inventory management, purchasing and customer service.
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.

A salary of $81,786.64 per annum + Superannuation will be offered to the successful candidate.
