LA DEA PIZZA at Sydney Fish Market seeks a Retail Manager to oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient service and a positive customer experience.

You will manage pizza display, stock, pricing, and promotions while monitoring sales trends and waste. Lead a team, maintain food safety and WHS standards, and drive profitability and growth in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of LA DEA PIZZA at Sydney Fish Market, ensuring efficient service and a positive customer experience.
• Manage the presentation, display, and availability of Roman-style pizza slices, pizza boxes, desserts, and beverages.
• Monitor customer demand, sales trends, and stock levels to ensure product availability while minimising waste.
• Coordinate purchasing and stock replenishment of ingredients, beverages, packaging, and retail supplies.
• Review pricing, sales performance, and operating costs to maintain profitability and targets.
• Develop and implement promotions and marketing initiatives to attract customers and increase sales.
• Recruit, train, roster, and supervise retail staff for busy periods including weekends.
• Establish customer service standards including order processing and handling inquiries/complaints.
• Manage POS transactions, cash reconciliation, sales reporting, and retail records.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, WHS, and other retail requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of LA DEA PIZZA at Sydney Fish Market, ensuring efficient service and a positive customer experience.
• Manage the presentation, display, and availability of Roman-style pizza slices, pizza boxes, artisan desserts, and beverages.
• Monitor customer demand, sales trends, and stock levels to ensure appropriate product availability while minimising food waste.
• Coordinate purchasing and stock replenishment of Italian ingredients, fresh produce, beverages, packaging, and other retail supplies.
• Review product pricing, sales performance, and operating costs to maintain profitability and achieve business targets.
• Develop and implement promotional activities, seasonal offers, and marketing initiatives to attract customers and increase sales.
• Recruit, train, roster, and supervise retail staff, ensuring adequate staffing during busy trading periods, weekends, and peak market hours.
• Establish and maintain customer service standards, including efficient order processing, product presentation, and handling customer enquiries and complaints.
• Manage point-of-sale transactions, daily cash reconciliation, sales reporting, and retail financial records.
• Ensure the store complies with food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety, and other relevant retail operating requirements.

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in retail store management, preferably in the food retail or takeaway industry.
• Strong leadership, staff supervision, and organisational skills.
• Sound knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, budgeting, and sales operations.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety and food safety requirements.
