We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to join our Moss Vale store. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual who enjoys leading a team, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store.
The Retail Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Domino’s Moss Vale store, ensuring efficient business performance, high customer service standards and effective team management. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the daily operation of the store, including sales, customer service, staffing, inventory and delivery operations.
- Monitoring store performance against sales, service and operational targets and implementing strategies to improve overall business performance.
- Determining appropriate stock levels based on sales trends, customer demand and anticipated trading requirements.
- Managing stock ordering, receiving, storage and stock control processes while minimising wastage and unnecessary costs.
- Monitoring sales, expenses, labour costs and other operating costs to support the store’s financial performance.
- Assisting with the preparation and management of store budgets, sales forecasts and operational targets.
- Implementing company marketing and promotional initiatives and supporting local activities designed to increase sales and customer engagement.
- Monitoring customer service standards and responding to customer enquiries, feedback and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensuring the store is adequately staffed by preparing rosters based on trading patterns, customer demand and operational requirements.
- Recruiting, training, supervising and managing team members to ensure they meet required service and operational standards.
- Allocating tasks and supervising staff during shifts to ensure efficient workflow and smooth store operations.
- Monitoring staff performance, providing ongoing guidance and identifying training and development requirements.
- Maintaining accurate records relating to sales, stock, staffing, expenses and other store operations.
- Ensuring the store operates in accordance with company policies, procedures and operational standards.
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety, employment and other relevant legislative requirements.
- Monitoring the condition, cleanliness, presentation and general organisation of the store and ensuring operational standards are maintained.
- Coordinating day-to-day delivery operations to support timely order fulfilment and a positive customer experience.
- Identifying operational issues and implementing practical solutions to improve efficiency, service delivery and store performance.
- Liaising with suppliers, team members and relevant stakeholders to support the smooth and efficient operation of the store.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in retail management, store management, hospitality management or a similar operational role.
- Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Business Management, Retail Management, Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in managing day-to-day retail or hospitality operations.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to supervise, train and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in managing staff rosters, stock levels, sales performance and operating costs.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively handle customer enquiries and complaints.
- Good understanding of inventory management, purchasing, budgeting and basic financial administration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, customers and suppliers.
- Ability to analyse sales and operational information and implement practical measures to improve store performance.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety, food safety and relevant workplace requirements.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems, inventory systems and standard business software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, in line with the operational requirements of the store.
