Job summary

DAAS Australia Pty Ltd t/a Metco Singleton is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead the on-site team at the Metco Singleton service station and food outlet. You will oversee daily operations across the fuel forecourt, food store, and convenience items, ensuring smooth, customer-focused service and strict safety compliance.

Key responsibilities include staff recruitment and supervision, stock management and merchandising, pricing strategies, budgeting, and delivering strong sales

Qualifications

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in a relevant field.
• Minimum one year of experience in a similar role within the retail sector.
• In the absence of formal qualifications, at least three years of relevant experience may substitute, with additional on-the-job training as necessary.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

• Food Store/ Fuel station operations: Manage daily operations, ensuring a well-organized, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise store staff, fostering a motivated and productive team.

The client is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Manager to lead their team and will be responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and performance of all day-to-day operational functions at the service station. This includes managing the retail fuel forecourt, food store and convenience items. staff supervision, and compliance with all occupational health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards. The role is central to ensuring that the site operates smoothly, delivering high levels of customer service, maintaining inventory and merchandising standards, controlling operational costs, and ensuring the integrity and security of daily financial transactions. The managerial and administrative aspect of your role will encompass determining product mix, stock levels and service standards, selling goods, maintaining records of stock, financial transactions and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
