Job summary

Liberty Oil Myrtleford is seeking a Retail Manager to oversee the daily operation of the service station and convenience store, lead the retail team, maintain stock controls and financial records, and ensure a high standard of customer service and store presentation. You will schedule staff, monitor performance, coordinate purchasing, and ensure compliance with WHS and food safety requirements.

Qualifications

• An AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a relevant field and at least 1 year of relevant work experience; or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in retail management or a closely related role in lieu of the formal qualification.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating retail operations.
• Strong organisational, communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the service station and convenience store to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.
• Lead, supervise and support retail employees and provide appropriate workplace training and guidance.
• Prepare staff rosters and coordinate staffing requirements according to trading conditions and business needs.
• Monitor employee performance and provide feedback, direction and support to team members.
• Organise purchasing and replenishment of fuel, grocery, convenience and other retail products.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks and minimise stock shortages, wastage and discrepancies.
• Review sales results, operating expenses and other store performance information.
• Maintain accurate records relating to sales, stock movements, cash transactions and general store operations.
• Ensure customers receive friendly, professional and efficient service.
• Respond to customer enquiries and complaints and take appropriate steps to resolve issues.

The Retail Manager will oversee the daily operations of the service station and convenience store, manage the retail team, maintain stock and financial controls, and ensure a consistently high standard of customer service and store presentation.

About you

• Salary: $79,423 + Superannuation per annum
• Full-time position, 38 hours per week
