Task & responsibilities

Reporting to the business owner, you will manage the store, team, and operations end-to-end. The job duties will include the following, but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Liberty service station operations, including fuel management, staff supervision and shift workflows.
• Manage product range, stock, inventory, purchasing and waste control to meet demand and maximise sales.
• Delegate duties, set performance expectations, and train and mentor staff.
• Assist with recruitment and ensure staff comply with company policies and procedures.
• Manage supplier relationships and purchasing to secure competitive pricing and reliable deliveries.
• Plan and implement promotions and marketing activities to increase sales and customer engagement.
• Monitor team performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Oversee fuel stock, deliveries, pricing, and day-to-day fuel operations.
• Manage hot takeaway food operations, including food safety, quality standards, and service delivery to maximise customer satisfaction and sales.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify business growth opportunities.
• Maintain customer service standards and address customer needs professionally.
• Ensure workplace safety, promotions, and store operations comply with Liberty Head Office requirements.

Qualification & experience

The following skills and experience are highly sought after :

• At least one year of work experience in retail, service stations, or similar management roles.
• AQF Diploma or higher qualification in leadership management, business management, or a relevant field.
• Experience managing day-to-day fuel station and retail operations.
• Strong staff leadership, supervision and rostering skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety, fuel handling, and relevant safety requirements.
