Job summary

MAHAAN PTY LTD is hiring a Retail Manager for Liberty Fuel Station in Lawnton, QLD. You will lead store operations, manage staff and stock, and drive sales to meet targets while maintaining safety and customer service standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of relevant experience and a Diploma or higher. You will oversee recruiting, scheduling, training, budgeting and daily reconciliation, delivering a positive shopping environment and profitable results.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Managing the store, warehouse and staff to deliver store objectives.
• Manages and directs staff, handling recruitment, scheduling, training, and performance assessment
• Create a safe working environment for your team and customers.
• Be responsible for inventory management, stock takes, daily reconciliation, banking and other administrative duties as required.
• Ensure the customer experience is positive, leading to new opportunities and repeat business.
• Product selection and setting up prices for special items by implementing competitive purchasing and pricing policies to reduce expenditure and increase sales.
• Markets products by advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
• Ensure store operations and retail standards are implemented and maintained.
• Maintains store staff by recruiting, on-boarding, orienting, and training new team members.
• Monitor and evaluate the overall performance of the store and of individual staff members to ensure service standards and goals are met.
• Prepare and control the store’s budget aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency.
• Control costs without compromising standards and customer service.
• Manage new stock deliveries and merchandise the store.
• Ensure occupational health and safety guidelines are always maintained and adhered to by the staff.

Skills and Experience:

• The candidate must have at least one year’s experience in a similar role.
• Minimum Diploma level qualification is required.
• Proven ability to achieve sales, KPI’s & manage stock take.

Salary:

$80,000 - $85,000 per annum plus superannuation
