Crokers Fuel & Oils Pty Ltd in Paget, QLD, seeks an experienced Service Station Manager to lead the team and oversee day-to-day operations, stock control, customer service, and safety. You will maintain a welcoming forecourt and a well-presented store that supports consistent service and performance.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong people management, rostering, and the ability to drive sales and profitability within a daytime schedule (Mon–Fri and Saturday mornings).

Crokers Fuel & Oils Pty Ltd | Paget, QLD is a leading wholesale supplier of bulk fuel and lubricants across Mackay, Clermont and Proserpine and we are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Station Manager to lead the team at our Paget store.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on retail leader who enjoys managing day-to-day operations, building a strong team and driving business performance. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store, maintaining excellent customer service standards, managing stock and purchasing, and creating a safe, welcoming and well-presented environment for customers and staff.

Our Paget store operates daytime only, Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings, offering a consistent trading schedule for someone who takes pride in running an efficient and successful operation.

Key Responsibilities

As Service Station Manager, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the store, including:

• Store Operations: Oversee daily store and service station operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance and consistently high standards.
• Stock Management & Purchasing: Analyse sales trends and customer demand to determine product ranges and stock requirements. Coordinate supplier orders and deliveries, maintain stock availability and manage purchasing costs.
• Sales & Profitability: Monitor sales performance, identify opportunities to increase sales and improve profitability.
• Retail Presentation & Promotions: Manage retail pricing, product displays and promotional offers.
• Inventory Control: Conduct and oversee stocktakes, maintain accurate inventory records, manage stock rotation and minimise losses and wastage.
• Team Leadership: Train, supervise and support staff. Monitor performance and foster a positive, productive team environment.
• Hands-on Management: Provide operational support when required, including covering staff absences to ensure the store continues to run smoothly.
• Customer Service: Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service, providing product advice and resolving customer enquiries and complaints professionally.
• Cash & Fuel Reconciliation: Oversee cash handling, daily fuel reconciliations and accurate end-of-day procedures.
• Safety & Presentation: Maintain high standards of workplace health and safety, store cleanliness, forecourt presentation and overall site appearance.

About You

You are a practical, organised manager who can confidently lead a team while remaining hands-on in the day-to-day running of the service station.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, support and manage a team.
• Demonstrated experience in stock control and purchasing and staff rostering.
• A sound understanding of retail sales, pricing, inventory management and profitability.
• Confidence using point-of-sale systems and preparing and interpreting sales reports.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to resolve issues calmly and professionally.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• A proactive, flexible and hands-on approach, with a willingness to cover staff absences when required.
• A commitment to workplace safety, operational standards and maintaining a professional store environment.

Relevant qualifications in retail management, business or a related field will be highly regarded but are not essential.

Forklift Licence required or willingness to obtain.
