Job summary

CBRE Asia Pacific is seeking a hands-on commercial manager to take ownership of a retail centre in Canberra. You will manage full operational and financial performance, including P&L, budgeting, tenant relationships, and a small on-site team.

This role suits someone from finance, operations, or business management who can drive cost control and strong stakeholder reporting, with preference for a real estate licence. CBRE will support licencing as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience owning P&L and budget in a fast-paced commercial environment.
• Proven team leadership with a hands-on, accountable approach.
• Real estate licence preferred; CBRE supports obtaining one.

Responsibilities

• Own the centre's P&L and annual budget, including variance analysis and reporting
• Manage outgoings, recoveries, and monthly financial reporting to stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to control costs and improve commercial performance
• Oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, and compliance across the asset
• Lead and develop a small on-site team, setting clear expectations and supporting performance
• Build productive relationships with tenants and provide regular performance updates to asset stakeholders
