Qualifications

• Experience in retail property, including managing centre operations and asset performance.
• Certificate of Registration or Real Estate Licence (ACT) or willingness to obtain.
• Understanding of retail leasing, centre operations and financial reporting or willingness to build this capability.
• Confident stakeholder and retailer engagement with a commercially focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day retail centre operations and retailer engagement.
• Oversee leases, occupancy, tenancy compliance and presentation standards.
• Drive centre financial performance including budgets, outgoings and monthly reporting.
• Prepare owner reports and contribute to asset strategy with IFM Investors.
• Collaborate with facilities, marketing and operations teams to deliver a high-performing centre.

CBRE is seeking a Retail Manager to manage a portfolio of institutionally owned retail assets in the ACT on behalf of IFM Investors. You will take responsibility for centre performance, retailer relationships, financial outcomes and operational excellence, while being actively developed for a future Centre Manager opportunity.

Perfect for a Retail Manager, Assistant Centre Manager, Retail Marketing Manager or Administration Manager with centre experience, ready for a clearly mapped step toward Centre Manager.

In this role, you will:

• Manage day‑to‑day retail centre operations, including retailer engagement and issue resolution
• Oversee leases, occupancy, tenancy compliance and presentation standards
• Drive centre financial performance, including budgets, outgoings and monthly reporting
• Prepare owner reports and contribute to asset strategy in partnership with IFM Investors
• Collaborate with facilities, marketing and operations teams to deliver a high‑performing centre

About You

• Experience in retail property, whether as a Retail Manager, Assistant Centre Manager, Retail Marketing Manager or in a related centre‑based role
• Certificate of Registration or Real Estate Licence (ACT), or willingness to obtain
• Understanding of retail leasing, centre operations and financial reporting (or strong capability and willingness to build in this area)
• Confident stakeholder and retailer engagement skills, with a commercially focused approach
