Job summary

Cessleigh is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee operations, maintenance, and compliance for a busy Brisbane shopping centre. You will manage building systems, safety, and service providers to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for shoppers, retailers, and staff.

The role requires 3+ years in facilities management within retail or commercial property, strong knowledge of HVAC and BMS, and a White Card along with WHS compliance expertise.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in facilities management, operational management, or building services, preferably in retail or commercial property.
• Strong understanding of building plant/equipment (HVAC, fire safety, BMS, security systems).
• Sound knowledge of WHS standards, local regulations, and building compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day facilities operations, maintenance, and compliance for a busy shopping centre.
• Manage contractor and vendor relationships; supervise on-site work and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate preventative, routine, and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety and vertical transport systems.
• Monitor budgets, track service contracts, and support cost optimization.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for tenants and centre management; liaise with authorities and service providers.
