Job summary

Balgownie Estate is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee daily operations of food and beverage and event coordination services, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and high standards of service within our cellar door, dining and event spaces.

The role requires leadership, customer service, and operational skills, plus a minimum of one year of supervisory experience and current RSA and Food Safety certificates.

Qualifications

Job description

Balgownie Estate are seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor who is responsible for overseeing daily operations of food and beverage and event coordination services, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of service and brand knowledge within our cellar door, dining and event spaces. This role requires a blend of leadership, customer service, and operational skills.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Supervise and support team members during service periods.
• Assist with training as required.
• Distribute information to the team regarding changes to the menu and offerings, management instruction, and policy and procedure updates. Conduct periodic staff briefings when required.
• Perform all opening and closing duties as required.

About You:

• A minimum of one year's supervisory experience in a similar role ideally within fine dining, hotels, wineries or event facilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on creating a positive guest experience. Ability to handle inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and empathy.
• Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and consistency to ensure compliance with established standards and guest expectations.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment through clear and effective communication with staff and management. Encourage information sharing and impart product and service knowledge with team members.
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
• Valid Food Safety certificate
• Full working rights in Australia.

Must have full permanent working rights in Australia with no restrictions and weekend availability. No public transport is available to our location - must have your own transport.
