ALH Hotels' The Balgownie Hotel in New South Wales is seeking an Assistant Manager to keep the venue buzzing and loved by locals. Base salary $80,000 plus super and bonus scheme, with group-wide discounts.

This hands-on role involves supervising bar, bistro, or gaming room staff, supporting the Publican, and building a great pub vibe. You must have RSA, RCG and ARCG as per state requirements and be able to lift and move stock.

• Experience supervising in bar, bistro or gaming room preferred.

We're on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Balgownie Hotel buzzing and loved by the locals.

Established in 1899 and recently renovated, The Balgownie Hotel is an iconic, family-friendly venue catering to the vibrant local community. Rich in history, the hotel is deeply connected to the area through strong partnerships with local sporting clubs; including sponsoring Australia's oldest active soccer club, the Balgownie Rangers. From casual dining to community celebrations, it remains the region's go-to meeting place.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you're part of the crew

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You've learned from great managers and now you're ready to step up
• You've got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You've got a current RSA, RCG and ARCG as per state requirements
