Job summary

Victoria Point Sharks Sporting Club is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our busy Bistro and own day-to-day operations. You’ll be a strong leader, highly organised and passionate about delivering great customer service while on the floor with the team.

You will work closely with the Head Chef and senior management, coach front-of-house staff, manage rosters and wage costs, handle recruitment and training, and ensure high standards across lunch and dinner services, RSA/WHS

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality management experience.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage rostering and labour costs.
• Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Comfortable being on the floor and leading from the front.

Victoria Point Sharks Sporting Club is looking for an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to join our management team and take ownership of the day-to-day operation of our busy Bistro.

We’re looking for someone who is a strong leader, highly organised and passionate about delivering great customer service. This is a hands-on management role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading from the front and developing a strong team culture.

About the Role

As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and professional operation of the Bistro, working closely with our Head Chef, Operations Manager and senior management team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Leading, motivating and developing the Bistro/front-of-house team

Delivering a consistently high standard of customer service

Managing busy lunch and dinner services

Staff rostering and maintaining appropriate wage levels

Recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing staff development

Ensuring presentation and service standards are maintained across every shift

Is comfortable having difficult conversations when required

Has a genuine passion for hospitality and customer service

Is available across a flexible roster, including nights and weekends

Wants to become an important part of the Club and help continue developing our hospitality offering
