Job summary

Bankstown Sports Club in Bankstown, NSW, is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our leadership team. You will oversee frontline operations across multiple venues, guiding supervisors and staff to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hospitality leadership, supervisory or management role.
  • Strong food and beverage operational knowledge.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop teams.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operation of restaurants, bars and F&B outlets across the Club.
  • Lead, mentor and develop supervisors and team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ensure service standards are consistently executed across all venues.
  • Assist with rostering, labour management and workforce planning to achieve targets.
  • Monitor guest feedback and assist in resolving customer concerns professionally.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our Food & Beverage leadership team.

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will support the operation of a large-scale, multi-venue hospitality environment encompassing restaurants, bars and entertainment spaces. This hands-on leadership role offers exposure to a diverse range of food and beverage operations and is ideal for a hospitality professional looking to broaden their leadership experience within a complex hospitality business.

You will play a key role in leading teams, delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational standards, and supporting the achievement of departmental financial and business objectives across multiple outlets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the day-to-day operation of restaurants, bars and food & beverage outlets across the Club.
  • Lead, mentor and develop supervisors and team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ensure service standards are consistently executed across all venues.
  • Assist with rostering, labour management and workforce planning to achieve operational and financial targets.
  • Manage guest feedback and assist in resolving customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Support menu launches, promotions and food and beverage initiatives.
  • Assist with stock control, inventory management and monthly stocktakes.
  • Monitor beverage operations, including cellar management and reporting.
  • Assist with budgeting, reporting, purchasing and cost control activities.
  • Ensure compliance with RSA, RCG, Food Safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Drive a positive team culture aligned with the Club's values and service standards.
About You

You are a passionate hospitality leader who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and leading teams to deliver exceptional service.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience in a hospitality leadership, supervisory or management role.
  • Strong food and beverage operational knowledge.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop teams.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • RSA and RCG Competency Cards.
  • Food Safety Certificate.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence.
