Job summary

Mi Casa Cafe in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to take full operational ownership of a busy venue. You will lead from the front, hands-on, guiding all levels of staff and management to deliver the highest standards.

You must be firm, fair and organised, with accountability and a professional workplace. You will work closely with ownership to refine systems and continuously improve operations, remaining visible on the floor during busy services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–4 years of restaurant management experience.
  • Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily venue operations and overall performance.
  • Be visibly on the floor during busy services.
  • Lead, guide and hold all levels of staff and management accountable.
  • Set clear duties and follow up to ensure completion.
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, train and retain high-performing employees.
  • Develop and maintain training systems, procedures and service standards.
  • Prepare rosters and manage staffing levels, productivity and labour costs.

We are seeking an experienced and highly committed Restaurant Manager to take full operational ownership of a busy, fast-paced hospitality venue. For this role you are expected to be available day and night and have flexibility.

This is a senior leadership position for someone who understands that true leadership requires presence, accountability, and commitment.

About the Role

As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for all operations of the venue. You will lead from the front, hands on and guide all levels of staff and management. You must ensure the business operates to the highest possible standard at all times.

You must be firm, fair and organised, with the confidence to hold staff and management accountable while maintaining a professional and respectful workplace. You will work closely with ownership to collaborate on ideas, refine systems and continuously improve operations.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You are a highly driven hospitality professional who is obsessed with standards and takes pride in running a disciplined, well-executed operation. You are highly organised, focused, and relentless in maintaining consistency across people, service, and systems.

You remain calm under pressure and are decisive when challenges arise. You are the person who steps in when no one else can, takes control of difficult situations, and ensures the business continues to operate at a high level.

Your availability is fluid and aligned with the needs of the business, including early starts, working regularly at nights, late finishes, weekends, and public holidays. You understand that leadership means showing up, being present, accountable, and reliable when the business needs you most.

You must have a minimum of 3-4 years of restaurant management experience.

Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.
