Job summary

Peninsula Pulmonary Function Laboratory in Frenchs Forest, NSW, is seeking a friendly Respiratory Physiologist to join our patient-focused team on a permanent part-time basis.

You will perform a range of respiratory diagnostic tests in an accredited private laboratory, work closely with Respiratory and Sleep Physicians, and contribute to high-quality patient care with ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Medical Science, Health Science, Nursing or a related field.
• Experience performing pulmonary function testing is desirable.
• Knowledge of TSANZ standards and quality processes.
• Training can be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of respiratory diagnostic tests meeting accreditation and quality standards.
• Conduct comprehensive respiratory testing including spirometry and body plethysmography.
• Ensure procedures meet TSANZ and lab quality processes.

About the Role

You will perform a range of respiratory diagnostic tests while ensuring all procedures meet accreditation and quality standards.

A range of comprehensive respiratory testing and other specialised respiratory investigations (ie. spirometry, bodyplethysmograpy, gas transfer, bronchial challenges and so forth)

About You

Essential

Degree qualification in Medical Science, Health Science, Nursing or a related field

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong attention to detail

Good organisational and time management skills

Passion for delivering excellent patient care

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

Experience performing pulmonary function testing

Previous healthcare experience

Knowledge of TSANZ standards and quality processes

Training can be provided for the right candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Remuneration

Competitive remuneration based on qualifications and experience, in accordance with the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020.
