Job summary

Coastal Respiratory & Sleep Pty Ltd is seeking a Respiratory and Sleep Scientist/Technician to run lung function testing and home sleep study setups at our Benowa clinic on a part-time basis. You will work closely with physicians, reception, and patients to ensure accurate results and documentation.

Ideal candidates have experience in respiratory testing, are detail-oriented, and comfortable with clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive lung function testing for patients referred by physicians and external doctors.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Fit and instruct patients for home sleep studies and CPAP therapy support (training provided).

Respiratory and Sleep Scientist/Technician – Lung Function & Sleep Studies

Coastal Respiratory & Sleep is a specialist respiratory and sleep medicine practice with full-service clinics in Tugun, Benowa and Pimpama, where we support patients from Brisbane to Northern NSW and beyond.

We're looking for a Respiratory and Sleep Scientist to run lung function testing and home sleep study set‑ups at our Benowa clinic, on a part‑time basis.

What the role involves

Perform comprehensive lung function testing for patients referred by our physicians and external doctors

Reporting results and filing them to the patient's electronic record

Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and records

Maintain and calibrate equipment

Troubleshooting equipment and software issues as they arise

Keeping the lab stocked and handling the paperwork that goes with it

Fitting and instructing patients for home sleep studies and CPAP therapy support (training provided)

Working closely with our physicians, reception team and patients

Who we are looking for

Previous experience in respiratory testing is preferred

Keen to learn

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Comfortable with computers and clinical software

Warm with patients and able to put people at ease quickly

Happy to adapt as the day changes

Pay and conditions

Ongoing part-time position. Usual days of work: every Friday plus alternate Thursdays.

Based in Benowa

Additional hours to open up as our service grows, including at other clinic sites.

Hourly rate dependent on qualifications and experience
