Job summary

Coastal Respiratory & Sleep Specialists in Benowa is seeking a Respiratory Scientist to run lung function testing and home sleep study set-ups at our Benowa clinic on a part-time basis.

You will work with our physicians, perform calibrations, report results to electronic records, and ensure infection-control standards. Previous experience preferred; strong attention to detail and patient-friendly manners required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in respiratory or sleep testing is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable with computers and clinical software.
• Warm with patients and able to put people at ease quickly.
• Happy to adapt as the day changes.

Responsibilities

• Lung function testing for patients referred by physicians and external doctors.
• Fitting and instructing patients for home sleep studies.
• Reporting results and filing them to the patient's electronic record.
• Daily calibration and quality control, and keeping equipment clean and infection-safe.
• Sorting out equipment and software issues when they come up.
• Keeping the lab stocked and handling the paperwork that goes with it.
• Working closely with physicians, reception team and patients, with confidentiality a given.

Salary and Benefits
