Job summary

Optus is seeking a Resource and Security Officer to support the Services Australia account by ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and client requirements. The role involves managing personnel security clearances, monitoring mandatory training, and controlling access to client facilities.

You will prepare reports, identify risk, and coordinate with stakeholders to maintain operational security and protect sensitive information across the account.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of security frameworks (PSPF, ISM, APRA) and federal standards.
• Preferable Certificate IV in Government Security (Personnel Vetting) or equivalent.
• Experience in enterprise computing or service delivery environments.
• Strong report writing skills and clear documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint for documentation systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage personnel security clearances, onboarding, renewals and cessations for staff and contractors.
• Monitor and enforce client-mandated training compliance across the account.
• Control and approve access to client-managed facilities, including passes and data centre access.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports on security clearances, training status and compliance.
• Identify and mitigate security risks and ensure adherence to regulations and policies.
• Act as primary point of contact, providing guidance and coordination across teams.
