Job summary

Shoalhaven City Council is seeking a proactive Coordinator - Resource Recovery to oversee the safe and compliant operation of its resource recovery facilities at West Nowra. You will lead staff and contractors, manage assets and programs that recover valuable materials from the waste stream, and drive safety and continuous improvement across teams.

The role requires on-call availability and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operational teams in resource recovery, manufacturing, processing or industrial environments.
• Experience managing safety, operational performance, resources and compliance obligations.
• Current Class C Driver's Licence.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a SafeWork NSW Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the safe, efficient and compliant operation of resource recovery facilities and services.
• Lead employees and contractors, manage resources and assets, and support recovery of materials from the waste stream.
• Manage workforce planning, performance, training and development activities.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement across resource recovery teams.
• Identify, assess and manage operational risks and corrective actions.
