Job summary

Shoalhaven City Council is seeking a Coordinator - Resource Recovery to lead the safe and efficient operation of its resource recovery facilities in Nowra. You will manage staff, contractors and assets while driving safety, accountability and continuous improvement across teams.

The role requires on-call availability, overtime as needed, and progression through grade steps as performance objectives are met. 38 hours per week at the West Nowra Recycling Depot with a leaseback vehicle option.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operational teams in industrial environments.
• Knowledge of safety, compliance and performance management.
• Ability to manage resources, assets and training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safe, efficient and compliant operation of resource recovery facilities and services.
• Lead employees and contractors; manage workforce planning and development.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks; oversee asset maintenance and replacement planning.
• Ensure on-call availability and overtime as required.
