City of Wodonga’s Resource Recovery Centre is seeking a hands-on, practical team member to support site operations, assist customers and ensure safe equipment use. The role is physical, outdoors, and contributes to a cleaner, more sustainable community.

The successful candidate will recover and separate materials, guide customers on disposal options and operate approved plant and tools to maintain safety and efficiency in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Strong frontline customer service and clear communication skills.
• Practical, team-oriented approach with varied duties.
• Confident using computers and digital systems for transactions and data entry.
• Understanding of safe work practices and workplace safety responsibility.
• Experience in waste management, resource recovery or similar operational environment.

Responsabilités

• Hands-on resource recovery: recover and separate recyclable and reusable materials and maintain site standards.
• Customer guidance and service: assist customers, navigate disposal requirements and discuss costs.
• Safe plant and site operations: operate authorised equipment and monitor conditions with safety focus.
• Flexible operational support: data entry, transactions, litter collection and relief duties as needed.
