Job summary

dnata catering & retail is seeking a highly organized Resource Allocator to join the Workforce Planning team at Sydney Airport. You will coordinate rosters, overtime, labour hire and leave, ensuring staffing coverage and smooth daily operations.

The role requires experience in rostering, scheduling, and workforce planning, with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills. A rotating roster is expected, and the company offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in workforce planning, rostering, scheduling or resource allocation.
• Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using workforce management or rostering systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing operational demands in a high-pressure environment.
• Understanding of Enterprise Agreements, Awards or workforce compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage roster movements, shift changes and staff allocations.
• Coordinate overtime, shift extensions and labour hire requirements.
• Monitor workforce supply and demand to ensure staffing coverage is maintained.
• Update and maintain workforce planning systems with accurate employee and roster data.
• Liaise with operational leaders and labour hire providers to support operational requirements.
• Process leave, training and roster-related updates.
• Provide support and guidance to employees regarding roster enquiries.
• Prepare workforce reports and support payroll-related processes.
• Ensure compliance with Enterprise Agreements, policies and workforce planning procedures.
