Job description

The recently redeveloped RAC Ningaloo Reef Resort sits on the pristine shores of Coral Bay, a gateway to the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Marine Park. Featuring 90 modern units, a resort-style pool, ocean-view dining, a contemporary clubhouse, and sustainable features like solar power and EV charging, it offers an unparalleled coastal experience.

Ahead of our grand reopening in Q1 2027, we’re seeking an experienced and passionate full-time Resort Manager to lead the opening and day-to-day operations of this iconic destination.

What will you be doing?

As Resort Manager, you’ll play a critical role in building and inspiring a high-performing team, delivering outstanding guest experiences, and driving the operational success of the resort. Reporting to the Regional Manager (North), you’ll oversee all departments including accommodation, food and beverage, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, and front office, ensuring exceptional standards and a strong culture of service.

This is a rare leadership opportunity for an accomplished hospitality professional to make their mark on a brand-new resort and live in one of Australia’s most breathtaking locations.

Your day-to-day impact

  • Recruit, train, and develop a passionate team across all departments.
  • Drive exceptional guest satisfaction, embedding RAC’s service values and standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across accommodation, food & beverage, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, and front office.
  • Manage financial performance including budgets, forecasts, procurement, and cost control.
  • Build strong relationships with local stakeholders, suppliers, and community partners.
  • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with WHS, licensing, and environmental requirements.
What you’ll bring to the team
  • Proven experience as a Resort Manager or in a senior leadership role within a resort or large-scale hospitality operation.
  • Strong background in pre-opening and operational management.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to foster a positive, high-performance culture.
  • Solid understanding of financial management, KPIs, and strategic planning.
  • Outstanding guest service mindset with a passion for creating memorable experiences.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility to live on-site in Coral Bay and work varied hours across 7 days including weekends and public holidays.
  • Relevant qualifications in Management or Hospitality are desirable.
  • Driver’s Licence, Senior First Aid, and Approved Managers Licence required.
Why you’ll love working with us
  • A competitive salary package including performance incentives and on-site accommodation.
  • Police Check cost covered by RAC.
  • The opportunity to lead one of Australia’s most exciting resort openings in a world-class destination.
  • Access to RAC’s learning and development programs and career progression pathways.
  • The chance to work and live where others holiday – steps from the Ningaloo Reef!
  • Supportive, inclusive team culture and a company that values sustainability and community.
