Anglican Community Services – Rushcutters Bay NSW is seeking a Residential Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for a Residential Care home, ensuring residents receive exceptional care in a safe, welcoming and values-driven environment. Based in Rushcutters Bay, the role is full-time, Monday to Friday 9:00 am–5:00 pm, reporting to the Regional Manager.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of strong clinical experience as a registered nurse with mental health work.
• 3+ years of proven leadership in a senior management or operational role.
• Experience managing a large workforce and regulatory compliance in aged care.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for the residential care home and ensure high-quality, person-centred care.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and drive workforce development and performance.
• Oversee quality improvement, accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Engage with residents and families to support strong relationships and feedback loops.

This is a full-time leadership opportunity based at Rushcutters Bay, working Monday to Friday between 9:00am to 5:00 pm.

As a Residential Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of a Residential Care home. Working closely with the Regional Manager, Care Manager and operational leaders, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality care, strong financial performance, regulatory compliance and exceptional resident experiences.

With strong leadership, professionalism and a resident-focused approach, you will:

Resident Care & Clinical Excellence

• Ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centred care that supports dignity, choice and wellbeing
• Oversee clinical outcomes, care planning and quality standards across the home
• Support the delivery of exceptional resident and family experiences

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team including clinical, operational and support services staff
• Support workforce capability through coaching, performance management and professional development
• Manage operational resources to achieve financial, occupancy and service delivery targets
• Manage resource planning and operational performance

Quality, Compliance & Risk Management

• Lead quality improvement initiatives and accreditation readiness activities
• Ensure robust risk, safety and compliance frameworks are maintained
• Monitor incidents, trends and performance indicators to support continuous improvement

Resident & Family Engagement

• Build trusted relationships with residents, families and representatives
• Ensure feedback is responded to effectively and used to improve service delivery

What You'll Bring

You are an experienced aged care leader with a passion for delivering outstanding resident outcomes and building high-performing teams.

What's Required

• 3-5+ years of strong clinical experience as a registered nurse with mental health work is required
• 3+ years of proven leadership experience in a senior management or operational leadership role
• 3-5 + years of experience managing a large workforce
• Strong understanding of aged care legislation, accreditation and regulatory requirements
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing workforce performance
• Experience supporting residents with dementia, mental health conditions, schizophrenia and high physical support needs
