Job summary

Randstad is hiring a Claims Assessor / Building Estimator – Residential Repair in Sydney. You will manage property repair claims electronically using reports, photos and quotes, acting as the technical eye on residential scopes and validating repair methodologies.

The role involves reviewing scopes, auditing costs, and negotiating with builders and suppliers to ensure fair pricing and adherence to policy coverage. Onsite office-based with potential post-probation flexibility.

Qualifications

• Experience as a residential trade estimator or similar role.
• Ability to read scopes of work and identify inflated costs.
• Strong negotiation skills with builders and suppliers.
• Comfortable with dual-screen software and internal reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess residential building damage claims using photographs, reports and scope documentation.
• Review and validate scopes of work submitted by panel repairers for fair pricing and accuracy.
• Conduct retrospective audits on approved repair files to ensure cost integrity.
• Negotiate line-item costs and scopes with trade builders and suppliers.
• Provide accurate claim decisions aligned with policy coverage.
