Job summary

Duchesne College in Brisbane seeks a Facilities and Operations Manager to lead facilities, maintenance and services across a 24/7 residential college environment. You will partner with the Director of Business and Operations to ensure safe, functional and welcoming spaces for students and staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating staff and contractors, managing records and budgets, supporting capital works and events, and ensuring compliance with WH&S and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary or trade qualification in facilities, operations, property or building management.
• Experience managing facilities, operations and maintenance programmes.
• Knowledge of WH&S, building systems and compliance requirements.
• Experience leading or coordinating staff, contractors or operational teams.
• Experience managing records, budgets and operational systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee buildings, facilities, maintenance programs and services to ensure safety and a welcoming environment.
• Coordinate operational staff and supervise contractors to meet priorities.
• Manage contractors, suppliers and service providers ensuring safe, efficient delivery.
• Support capital works, maintenance projects and College events.
• Maintain records for facilities, maintenance, security and compliance.
• Support WH&S, building, fire and statutory requirements.
• Contribute to facilities planning, budgeting and asset lifecycle management.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff and stakeholders.
• Undertake other duties as required by the Head of College or delegate.
